Past Speaker Profile:  Doug Jeanes/Stephen Ryan

Stephen Ryan
Doug Jeanes, Museum Director, of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum was gracious enough to have us at the museum for our meeting. This will be an excellent opportunity for us to see the "War Birds" and to hear about them from their care taker! Doug also had Stephen Ryan fly in from Australia, just to speak to us (okay, he might have had a meeting to attend other than our Rotary meeting...) about the new plans for the Museum.

The plans are awesome. Stephen outlined the $60 million renovation that would showcase the planes, allow them to easily be taken in and out of the museum/hangers and give the attendees a story or theme to follow as they go through the exhibits. They will be able to learn the history not only of the planes and the war, but of North Texas.

The new museum will be a definite wonder to behold. But don't wait for the new museum, be sure to visit the Cavanaugh Museum now so you will be able to compare what has changed. Be sure to check out their web site at: http://www.cavanaughflightmuseum.com/
