June 22nd: Mike Richey, The Yellow Pages
Mike Richey will speak to us tomorrow about the Yellow Pages and why most business will fail to take advantage of them, and how you can immediately position yourself to dominate your market immediately. Mike is a husband to Ginger Richey, and father of two boys, Logan and Miles.
He has been involved in search engine and online marketing for over 10 years. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Professional. He has been a corporate webmaster at Nextlink Communications and at XO Communications. Mike also worked in Information Security at Bank of America. He then decided to formed his own search engine marketing, affiliate and information product marketing company. He now helps business owners and clients to greatly increase their lead generation online and their marketability, increasing profits and company growth exponentially.
June 15th: Kevin Ross and Linda Groce
Kevin Ross is an attorney who owns The Law Office of Kevin M. Ross PC which offers practical and innovative solutions for business owners. The firm also provides comprehensive estate planning, wills and probate for families and individuals.
Kevin explained to us how he finished law school, but went into the family business, and while he passed the bar, he did not actually practice until a few years ago when he established his firm after his family sold the their business.
Kevin works mostly with small business, handling their business transactions - everything from helping them set up their company, be it a sole proprietorship, and LLC, a partnership or incorporating to all the paperwork in between. He also handles Labor and Employment Law and is very active in Real Estate law (if you own rental property you definitely need to see Kevin as the law has changed) and of course he does Wills and Estates.
Linda Groce is a happy retiree, who spent time in the corporate world and now donates her time to a variety of good causes. But before she retired Linda was a very, very successful sales person and she sold technical medical equipment. Very, very technical medical equipment. She explained to us that she actually worked as a medical technician at one point setting up slides for pathologist to read
.
Linda's company sold the equipment that is used to read the pathology slides and to do the blood workups. Obviously, Linda did much better than I did in Chemistry and Biology and Math! She has an extraordinary knowledge about Blood Workups, she spoke about the various blood tests that doctors run (some I recognized from watching ER) and how those are done.
I found it fascinating, as I am sure everyone else did. Although she does so much to give back, I think she should get credit for all her time she donates to Rotary, the Addison Arbor Foundation, she chaired the Addison Charter Review - and those are just a couple of the areas that I know she supports. Linda is one of those rare individuals, who does it, she doesn't talk about it. Thank you Linda!

June 17th: Addison Emergency Training
Fire Chief Chris Kellen and the Town of Addison put on an Emergency Training last Thursday, to prepare in case a plane crashed at Addison Airport. He was helped by our very own Darci Neuzil! It was a great event and will definitely assure if something does happen at the airport everyone will be prepared!
