July

20th -  Will Steffek

July 20th: Board Meeting

We will be meeting at 11:00 am to have a Board Meeting to discuss the 2011 Resolution Run!

July 20th: Will Steffek, Rotary Youth Exchange

Will SteffekWill Steffek was born in Wisconsin, however, he soon moved to suburban Chicago where he spent the next 10 years. He currently resides in Plano where he has lived for the past 3 years. A recent graduate of Jesuit College Prepatory School of Dallas, Will enjoyed his high school years where he was a varisty athlete and an active member of various school organizations including Interact.

Not following the typical college path of his Jesuit classmates, Will will embark next month on the year long Rotary Youth Exchange to Taipiei, Taiwan. When he returns the following fall, he will begin studying International Business at Loyola University Chicago. He couldn't be more excited for the upcoming exchange and he is extremely grateful to Rotary for making the opportunity possible.

July 13th: GSE Team

Mike Pugh

Sara Skinner and Lauren ClarkOur Speakers were from the Rotary's Group Study Exchange (GSE) program. They have just returned from their stay in India and they were kind enought to come and speak to us about their travels and experiences in India.

The  team members that came and spoke to us were Mike Pugh (Tulsa), Sara Skinner (Liberty, Missouri),  and Lauren Clark (Carrollton). Lauren works for the Town of Addison, Mike was the team Leader. They told us all the interesting things about their visit such as the monkey's (one tried to steal Lauren's business card, I guess he wanted to call her later!) and the constant noise. They also told us about the many places they visited and the families they stayed with. They did a fabulous job of keeping us entertained!
