Donation to Metrocrest Foundation

On May 18, the Addison Midday Rotary Club donated $10,000 to Metrocrest Services General Fundas our 2014-2015 grant recipient.

Jim Duffy, Linda Groce and Darcy Neuzil presented the check to Tracy Eubanks of Metrocrest Services.

Our club foundation voted to donate the funds to the Metrocrest Services because of all of the good work they do in the community. Metrocrest Services has a Sack Summer Hunger program, where lunch is provided to hundreds of local children during the summer months when school lunches are not available. The organization also has a food pantry which helps many families in need, along with an employment program which helps individuals achieve financial security through employment.

Because there are so many people in our area that rely on the programs at Metrocrest Services, the Addison Midday Rotary Club  Board felt the Metrocrest Services mission is important and we are honored to be able to provide funds to support Metrocrest Services.

From a Press release from Metrocrest Services regarding theirTee UP Fundraiser:

The event generated $60,000 for programs provided by the nonprofit Metrocrest Services to families and seniors. In addition, members of the Addison Midday Rotary Club were on site and presented a donation in the amount of $10,000. “Our members voted to support Metrocrest Services,” explained Darci Neuzil, President of Addison Midday Rotary Club, “because they help so many in our community.”
