The Philippine Project
Recently President Jerry received news that our Global Grant application has been uploaded for Rotary International to review. The Grant has not been approved. However, all the financial commitments and required signatures from our club and our District have been met.
AMRC and the Rotary Club Legaspi West Global Grant is to supply water to small community in the Philippines. Presently the community of approximately 500 people must walk about a mile to a spring and carry the water back to the village.
The proposed project will build a concrete tank and install a solar pump in the spring to pump water into the tank. A pipeline will be constructed to carry the water into the village.
