July 28 Dana Mackison and Sly Majid RYLead Two of the people that have been most involved with RYLA - Dana Mackison and Sly Majid - will speak on the new program called RYLead. With the cancelling of Camp RYLA District 5810 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we want to ensure the group of students and alternates selected to participate in this year's program have an opportunity to expand and develop their leadership skills. This summer the RYLA staff and alumni will pilot a digital leadership program called RYLead (Rotary Youth Leadership Education and Development). The program will be delivered virtually and serve as a high-level leadership training program that is educational, engaging, and entertaining. The students will receive specially curated leadership workshops, mentorship from RYLA alumni who participated in the program, and unique one of a kind experiences to support them during their senior year and further prepare them for their future. Although not a camp experience we will be sharing a lot of the same core values with this group. |
On August 4, Principal Carol Crowling, Principal Bush Elementary School will speak to our club. Again this year, in conjunction with her talk, we are having a Dry Erase Marker Drive.
