March 26 Meeting
Dan Henry, Chief Meteorologist at Fox 4 Dallas
The April 8 Eclipse
On April 8, North America will experience its second total solar eclipse in seven years. The moon will glide over the surface of our sun, casting a shadow over a swath of Earth below. Along this path, the world will turn dark as night.  Dan Henry is an Emmy Award winning meteorologist with nearly 35 years of broadcast television experience at FOX 4 in Dallas will explain the Eclipse to us.

Dan, a resident of Addison, TX, with nearly 35 years of broadcast television experience, has served as FOX 4 in Dallas' Chief Meteorologist since 2003.

Dan has witnessed just about everything Mother Nature can dish out: Spring supercells that spawn tornadoes and giant hail, flash flooding, ice storms and snowstorms, blistering heat waves, and Arctic blasts that can drop temperatures over 50 degrees in a matter of hours.

He’s honored to have been awarded five Emmys, including three for Best Television Weathercaster in Texas. He earned the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval in 1992, and he was the first meteorologist in the DFW area to earn the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal in 2007.
