Hope Supply's Mission:
"We meet the critical needs of homeless and at-risk children across North Texas by providing necessities including diapers, clothing, school supplies and toys to enhance their lives."
Barbara Johnson grew up in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia where her father was an international business man. She attended Stanford University and studied economics and International Relations.
"Growing up in developing countries, I experienced around me a lot of poverty and need, and was really struck by the inequalities in the world. While we lived comfortably in homes with air conditioning, furnishings and ample food, families and individuals were living in squalor…..even sometimes in cardboard boxes. It had a lasting effect on me."
After relocating to Dallas 30 years ago, she first stayed home raising my children while working part time on a tax and accounting business at home. About 10 years ago she volunteered at a nonprofit where she eventually got hired. Her nonprofit career had begun!
