July 19 Meeting
Jerry Allison, President and Past President of Addison Midday Rotary
Rotary Action Groups and Fellowships

What is a Rotary Action Group?  What are Rotary Fellowships?  What is the difference?  Why do we need these?
Rotary is full of opportunities to serve your community, collaborate with projects in your District or State, contribute or join Global Grants around the World, prepare our future leaders, share knowledge with business leaders in underserved countries, etc.  But there is so much more you can do in Rotary.  You can visit Clubs locally, around your State or Country, or when traveling to other countries.  Another way to meet Rotarians is to join groups with common education or experience as yourself or join groups that have similar passions to help others.

President Jerry will share with attendees the difference between Action Groups and Fellowships.  We will explore some of the various groups available, why they exist, how they were formed, who should join, what do they do, when and where do they meet, what does it cost, and how to join.  One does not necessarily need to be a Rotarian to join these groups.

If you are a Rotarian, or considering joining Rotary, Action Groups and Fellowships may be another way to achieve fulfillment in your life.

President Jerry has been with the Addison Midday Rotary Club for 7 years, and a member of Rotary International for 26 years.  He has been a member of Rotary Clubs in the United States, Maranians Islands, and the Philippines.
