Interact is an international Rotary-sponsored organization of community leaders who create positive, lasting change in their local communities and the global community through a motto of “service above self”. The name “Interact” is a call to International Action - it is a call to service and a call to increased international understanding. We are looking for reliable students who are committed to social justice, enjoy a hands-on approach to service, and are willing to step out of their comfort zones to compassionately interact with people with different cultural backgrounds and experiences. Members of Interact will complete their junior year service requirement by supporting various refugee services in the Dallas area (McShan Elementary Refugee Outreach, Saint Patrick’s Refugee Outreach), Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigrant resettlement programs, and will have the ability to be involved in Rotary sponsored service and leadership opportunities. Meetings occur at least every two weeks.
